The People's Action Party is a political party in
Singapore. The party is well-known for having transformed
Singapore from a developing third-world country to one of the richest countries in the planet.
Founded in 1954 by Lee Kuan Yew, Goh Keng Swee, Toh Chin Chye, S. Rajaratnam, Lim Chin Siong and several others, the party has dominated Singapore's political landscape since 1959. It also had managed to win an electoral district in the File:Malaysia-icon.png Malaysian state of File:Selangor-icon.png Selangor in 1964.
