Democracy is a form of government, in which people vote to decide a leader (directly or indirectly). Democratic systems often have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, voting rights, and minority rights.

The First Democratic Assemblies are as old as the human race. The First Democratic Governments formed in Greece and Rome. The Age of Revolutions, The Post-Colonial Era, and the fall of Authoritarian countries formed a lot of new democracies and republics since the 18th century.
