The 
Vatican City State, colloquially referred to as Vatican City, is a landlocked micronation located within Rome, 
Italy, which it is protected by. It is the centre of the Catholic Church; and although the smallest sovereign country in the world by both land area (49 hectares) and population, it exercises a massive amount of soft power worldwide.
