List of Icons - List of Templates - Editing Guide - Art Guide
happy editing!
Here's an art guide for Politiball, both for art and icons. Best advice for these thigns is follow by example from other pages.
File Naming
I'm putting this at the front for you ALL see because I don't want tor edirect any more files. Here's the naming scheme of files:
- Filename-icon.png for icons.
- Filename-art.png for art.
- Filename-example.png/svg for things like flags thats used to help draw balls.
- ArtistName-comic#.png for comics, make the number the order this comic is supposed to be in.
- Filename-other.png for anything else.
If it is country specific add FilenameCountry-icon.png. For example, LabourUK-icon.png .
If it is an alternative or old icon, add Filename (old)-icon.png or Filename (alt}-icon.png. For example, ConservativesUk (old)-icon.png and LibDemsUK (alt)-icon.png
.
Making Art
We are rather lax with rules here however do know we may request an art change if your art is not good enough.
For making art we recommend the programs Paint.Net, MS Paint, GIMP and Photoshop, however any art program works really, as long as it has aliased rendering.
When drawing balls, draw the outline in pure black, and draw two eyes with a solid black outline with white inside. On the inside of the ball, if the design has black, use a dark shade of grey such as hex code #141414.
Making icons
Any pixel art or regular art program is fine, and for these feel free to be as creative as you want of course with aliased rendering. For icon templates, go to the List of Icons.
