Catholic Theocracy is an ideology that seeks to value and preserve the Catholic faith and traditions and uphold them into law, rejecting anything that contradicts the faith and keeping the state close and loyal to the Church.

The head of the Catholic Church is the Pope, or also called the Bishop of Rome, who is elected by the College of Cardinals most of the time. When the Pope is elected, he stays in the papacy until he dies or resigns, but resignation is very rare case. The Cardinals are appointed by the Pope, who also chooses who are the next electors in the next conclave (Papal election), Cardinals voting over the age of 80 is restricted.

Like the Cardinals, a Secretary for Relations with States, who is responsible for international relations, is also appointed by the Pope.

The Catholic Theocracy's legal system also has fullness of legislative, executive and judicial powers, which is rooted in the canon law.

History

Biblical

In the Bible, specifically Matthew 16:18-19, Jesus has said to his Apostle, Peter, "That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of  hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind upon earth, it shall be bound also in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose upon earth, it shall be loosed also in heaven". Appointing him as the first Bishop of Rome, or Pope, and his Apostolic succession has continued to this day.

Legalization by Rome

In the year 313 AD, Roman Emperors Constantine I and Licinius issued the Edict of Milan, which ended Christian persecution in the Empire but did not make Christianity the official state religion, that was 67 years later when Emperor Theodosius I issued the Edict of Thessalonica.

Split

During and after the fall of the Roman Empire, the Germanic barbarians who weakened the empire converted to Christianity to ally with the religious ones in the regions they were invading, which split the Roman Empire into two in 395 AD: the Western Roman Empire, who's loyal to the Bishop of Rome, and the Eastern Roman Empire, who's loyal to the Patriarch of Constantinople, which then split communion in 1054.

Influence in Europe

Despite the Schism, the Catholic Church remained very influential in Europe, especially the West during the Middle Ages, and with also the Pope having direct rule over the territory named the Papal States, while playing a big role in European politics, which caused the Inquisition and the Crusades. However, the Pope began losing influence and followers when the Protestant Reformation began during the 16th century, but even then, the Catholic Church made reforms to fix the corruption inside the Church and combating the new Christian theological ideas, while also defending himself from external invaders such as Napoleon, who had initially sought to change Catholic theology.

Roman Question

When the 19th century came around, Italy had a goal to unite the Italian peninsula, and the Papal States was one of Italy's obstacles, when the Italians captured Rome, the Pope began to be considered as "the Prisoner in the Vatican" and their dispute, called the Roman Question, began and continued until 1929, when the Italian fascist regime decided to let the Vatican independent in exchange for recognition of the fascist regime, but even so then, the Vatican called for peace for all nations during World War II.

Modern Day

Despite being only 109 acres, the Vatican City has continued to have influence on over 1 billion Catholics internationally to this day.

Personality

Base

Catholic Theocracy tends to be forgiving to others and the kindest he can try to be as he seeks to follow Jesus' footsteps, which is why it tends to love the sinner and hate the sin, as long as the sinner has truly have guilt and seeks repentance, it can grant you the remissions of all your sins and forgive you until you sin again. Before the Reformation, it was quite corrupted with money as high ranking clergy became greedy and put wealth above God, but when it saw the consequences of greediness, he began to change itself, but the Protestants remain separated as they have gained hatred towards it.

Now, its goal is to lead to unity and kindness to all who live on God's very own creation, but it has continued to deal with controversies regarding sexual abuse in the Church.

Its Traditionalist Side

However, its more Traditionalist side seek to restore many of what the Church used to be, some declare that the Papal seat is vacant (Sedevacantism), and also that side tends to be more tough and ruthless, but still forgiving. Catholic Theocracyball has many types of Catholicism within him, but in the same communion such as the Latin Church and the Eastern Catholic Church, which also has many types, but still under the same communion.

How to Draw

Drawing the Catholic Theologyball is very difficult due to the Keys of Heaven being very detailed.

  1. Draw a circle and fill it with the color Red.
  2. Draw the Keys of Heaven.
  3. Add the eyes.
  • While you're basically done, you can add more character to it, such as giving it a Papal tiara.
