Salve, my name is Abstractest Thought. I created this page mainly for my self-insert ideology, Leonine Traditionalism. This is my first try at a Polcompball page, so expect things to be a little messy.

Self-Insert

Leonine Traditionalism (named after my least-used but best-sounding online alias) is an ideology that is largely quite similar to normal Traditionalism, with a few details that make it my own, especially its primary focus on America. It advocates for Catholic Integralism, Monarchy and Aristocracy, Feudalism, Corporatism, Temporal Supremacy of the Roman Catholic Church, and a synthesis of traditional American and Catholic culture.

Beliefs

America

Leonine Traditionalism is first and foremost focused on the United States of America. This is largely due to my residence in America, but also because America is arguably the most powerful and influential Western superpower in the world. If it were to adopt Traditionalism, it would have an enormous influence on the rest of the Western world.

America was founded on values that are largely liberal (in the sense of classical Liberalism, not a slang term for members of the American Democratic Party); most grievously, this appears in the separation of right from duty and Church from State. Unfortunately, these values are enshrined in the nation's Constitution and are often considered a core aspect of American liberty and culture. Freedom of speech and freedom of religion are among the most contentious issues in American politics, sometimes being actually supported, but other times only being supported when it benefits a specific political goal. Both of these, however, are contrary to the traditional teachings of the Catholic Church and therefore are incompatible with Leonine Traditionalism.

Americans are also mostly opposed to non-democratically elected leaders, with America having been a democratic republic since its inception and created as a rebellion against an overreaching monarchy. This creates a deep stigma around monarchy and aristocracy, even among the more conservative Americans.

Another major obstacle to all of Catholic Integralism in America is that the US is traditionally Protestant and is still largely influenced by Protestant culture. This is a major problem, especially in consideration of Leonine Traditionalism's belief that the Catholic Church is supreme over all other institutions.

The next pillar of American society is the ideal of laissez-faire capitalism and a free-market economy. That being said, this is really only an ideal and not actually practiced in America. Even so, Leonine Traditionalism makes no pretense of supporting a truly free-market economy, as it believes that the economy should be regulated for the safety and spiritual good of the nation.

To summarize, America is currently majorly opposed to Catholic Integralism in ideology and religion, even more so to Traditionalism. Public attitudes will have to be greatly realigned before any such ideology will have an effective amount of supporters. There is hope, however: as liberalism's meaningless and contradictory ideology slowly but surely is exposed for what it is, it shakes the foundation of traditional American beliefs. Religion is becoming more popular throughout America, although current statistics say that the Catholic Church is still losing members. People have by now long been questioning the Progressive ideals that permeate American culture and education. The advent of the internet is shifting the Overton window. Most importantly, Catholics must maintain hope and trust in the providence of Our Lord Jesus Christ, who is seated at the right hand of the Father.

• Capitalism - Though your premises are rooted in the natural order of things (unlike the communists), you are not meant to be a pure economic system, and you are responsible for many of the spiritual issues in America, especially together with the federal government.

Enemies

• Liberalism - O synthesis of all heresies, the greatest achievement of the father of lies, our most loathed adversary and strongest opponent! You are responsible for so much of the pain, grief, and spiritual desolation in today's world. You destroyed our kings, our lords, our poets, our priests, as you constantly besiege the Church. You cry "Down! Down!" with everything that humanity was proud of. You call chains that which sets us free. I dream of the day you are but a memory!
• Communism - Another comorbidity of Liberalism, you deny men the right to private property and deny God His right to rule. You claim to be for the people when, in reality, you are merely another mechanism of power consolidation.
• Progressivism - What you push for stopped being progress long ago. Now you serve as but a distraction, progressing only in digging the grave of mankind. You continually come up with new injustices so that you can offer evil solutions.
• LGBTQ Movement - You immerse our brothers and sisters struggling with sin into a delusion which only causes them more pain. You promote sodomy, the greatest sin against chastity. We sit with our fellow sinners so that we may correct them, but you sit with them so that you may encourage them to do more evil.
• Anarchism - A ridiculous and completely upside-down ideal. The State preserves order, but you would have no king, so that you may do what is right in your own eyes.
• Democracy - In all your forms, you corrupt representative government. You leave it to the mob to decide what is best for them, and so allow them to destroy themselves. You pervert the natural order of things. Although a ruler should do what is good for his people, this is not always the same thing as what they want. You are better in the form of a republic, but still far from the best form of government.
